This is an Avatar I made for my sister-in-law, Rebecca Blake. She's an Entrepreneur, so I wanted to make an avatar that was both professional and personable.

Hi Ken! thanks for the comments on my blog :) your kind words are much appreciated. Getting comments from pros like you help me find the motivation to fulfill my goals as an artist, no matter how tough it is sometimes...

Im still trying to find a balance between using photoshop and markers. I know that having photoshop skills is definatly an advantage nowadays. But i still feel that the traditional method of coloring should not be lost, and its also a skill worth improving on. its also just fun to experiment with.

I love the stuff you have on here, cant wait to see more, thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! Ken, your characters are marvalously designed. I love them all, especially the bears.

Definitely will be back more oftern to check you out.

And also, thank you for your encouragement and kind comments on my work. I am still a novice at illustration. But I love it and enjoy every minute when I draw. Please do point out my mistakes too if any.

By the way, my daughter and I are feeling better today. Medicine must have done a miracle job! Cheers!

Many thanks Adrian! I've got friends like you to inspire me.

Nora, always great to see talent like yours off to a strong start. Glad you're blogging, and hope to see much more before long. It's good to learn every kind of medium-- then you know where your strengths lie. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. I hope to learn a lot more about art before I'm done. Maybe I've got another 60 years left in me. That's a lot of learning.

Christine, glad to hear that you're both feeling better. Being sick is no fun.
True fact: having a love of your craft is how every great artist starts. You're off to a great start, I can't wait to see more. And thank you for your encouragement!

Ty, many thanks to you as well. Your elephant had me rolling! Can't wait to see what crazy thing you come up with next!
