Wee Beastie

For the past few months I've been engaged in writing a juvenile fantasy fiction novel. I came to a pivotal chapter where the characters unwittingly draw the attention of a local predator. When I went to describe the creature I had only a rudimentary idea what it looked like and decided (as I'd done before) that I needed to do some sketching to help me visualize it. After a few dead ends this is what I came up. I imagine from nose to tail he's about 8 to 9 feet long. (The original nearly fills an 8" x 11" sheet of paper).

Thanks for dropping by.

'Tis been awhile since I've been to all my favs. A LONG while in fact. Good to be back.

Great sketch bytheway. I'm diggin' texture you've got going. the close up gives more detail of that. I'll need to practice that a bit more. Keep it up!
