Toon Club: Frog Prince
Inspired by the works of Bryan Beach (who is also a member of Toon Club) whose amazing illustrations are created in a program known (oddly enough) as Illustrator, I decided to do a little experiment (something I'm utterly opposed to doing normally). The topic at Toon Club is Frog Prince, and I figured I'd take a stab at creating a frog in Illustrator. This is the result.
I confess I've had enough experience using the program not to hurt myself in the attempt, but not enough to make a living at it. I've got a long way to go before I'm 'good' at it, but I thought the only way to get better is to try. So here's my attempt. Enjoy!

Hi!! I like your site. I checked it out yesterday (I think... can't remember) and I meant to tell you today, but I forgot (that whole getting old thing, y'know.) Love the site. Sad to see you don't have a Zazzle site still.
Hey, I totally had a different take on golem, just so you know. Rabbis created them to counter the anti-Jewish sentiments and pogroms. Or at least that's the stories and folklore I've heard.
You're not half bad at drawing!!
Hey Karla, thanks for stopping by. Sorry I'd neglected to put my Zazzle site back on my Links. It's up there now... under Ken's T-Shirt Shop. There are plenty more addresses I need to add, I just haven't made time to do it. Thanks for the reminder.
My take is basically your take on the Golem thing... only there's more to it.. I'll explain it to you some time.
And thanks. I enjoy it.
He's got a great expression on his face,he looks really pleased to be in that pond !! Brilliant work !
haha awesoem expression Ken! I tip my hat to you as I think the last time I mess with illustrator was version 4 i think. Ive opened it once since and left with my tail between my legs....
Beatiful colors and design again !
Hello Ken,
Thank you for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate it. You have very nice work here. I like your alien designs in the older entries and this frog prince has a pleasent smile! I like the way the water plants "grow" out of the white frame. I shall come back to visit again!
Jawn
He reminds me of the king in "Leader Dog." It's always good to experiment with new programms like that.
Again, this turned out really good, Illustrator can be tricky and has taken me a long time figure out, and there's still a lot about it that I don't even know. I applaud you for trying something new. This really is SO much better than the first several things I did with it! Great job Ken.
Greetings!Beautiful composicion.Elena.
