The shading and highlights help a ton... it was a nice drawing to start with, but it looks great in the second version. Nice stuff, Ken. But he's lucky I don't have my shovel.
Thanks for your comments guys! Glad I took the time to make the revision. Shane, I forgot you're like the Terminator of all snake life. Hope he's cunning... er... smart enough to avoid your personal space.
I'm not an artist. . .but I love the snake--my spouse has a boa he keeps in his science classroom. . .I don't care for snakes at all, but I liked the one you drew.
Your boa has such a friendly way about him. I think I'll curl up with him on the front porch for a nice Sunday afternoon naaaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhMMMMPPPPHHHHHH!!!!!.........
Thanks for all your comments guys! It's great to hear from you. Seeing your icons reminds me I need to go back and see what you guys have been working on-- so much art, so little time.

Looks good Ken. It looks a lot better with the shadows and reflections.

Nice! I think either version holds up on it's own, but the rendering you did on the second one is impressive.

Great to hear from you guys; thanks for coming around. It's always good to hear that my work doesn't suck as badly as I suspect it might. :)
Anne Onymous... cool name! The thought of owning any pet that can beat me in a wrestling match makes me think twice about bringing it into my house.
Stay cool everyone. August is upon us!
