Illustration Friday: Missing
Don't blink, you'll miss it.
I confess I got the idea from one of my favorite movies of all time; Monster's Inc. Booya! The idea is borrowed but the creature is my own. (Confession over.)
(Update:) I've sketched a few more things while warming up for some more 'serious' work I'm doing.
Enjoy
(Update again:)
I did some sketching in church...
We were discussing Acts 10-14, (Peter & Cornelius the Centurian), and this sketch of a Roman soldier mysteriously appeared on my sketch paper. The alien, I have no explanation for his appearance other than, that's what I do. His pet was inspired by my daughters sketches (who also love to draw in church).
The first is Jessica's, the second is Abbey's.

great drawing!!
Ken this is great. I often dream that I could have been a character designer on Monsters, Inc. Such fun characters, as is this one of yours. Beauty.

great illio, ken! :)
Haha!! Cool!! Lovely design! Love his expression!

HEhehe. Love it man. Happy Monday.
Great film and great illustration! Nice job!
Yay for fun monsters and critters! Love your drawings as usual!
Great idea and nice drawing. Cute
Diggin' the dragon. Oh, and does the monster's eyes blink in alternating states, so as not to miss anything. Darn my two eyes that blink simultaneously! Great work, bossman. Keep it up.
And of course my little dog is named after Sully the monster. Great idea!

Great pen work!
Love the monsters! I really like the Roman soldier too! Yeah, I don't know how the alien appeared in Church either... :)
Great drawings. I also love to draw at church, it is one of the few times I can draw uninterupted. Keep the art coming.
it's amazing when and where you get an idea ~ you can't control it at times! i love each and every one of these designs!! the centurian soldier is fabulous! and the language that your daughters designs speak is very creative in itself :) fantastic! :)
Many thanks for all your great comments guys. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. I wish I could say I'm going to post again real soon, but it may take me a while to get something else together. My time is consumed with a few projects that require my undivided attention for the present. Thanks for your patience and for making time to stop and say hello.
"Design speak" I like that! Thanks Alikins. I'll pass on your thoughts to my daughters. They'll be pleased.
Great drawings - really nice linework!
Thanks for stopping by my site. I noticed on your profile one of your favorite movies is "Disney's The Jungle Book." I just read the original book by Kipling and it was different but very good. It has a kind of Eden vs. the fallen nature of man/the world thing going on.
Your blog is amazing!! i can´t believe your works! they are great!
Cool sketches, great work
haha - cool. I love the confused characters at the top.
Discovered your blog from toon club. I love your style! All your monsters are so cool!! And hey, the kids drawings are great too,
You do have a great style! It's clean but scratchy, love it! Great characters!
Those are great! I love that you put your kids drawings up there too. Seth and the girls draw all through sacrament meeting too and funny enough our littlest is always making creatures and spiders of all sorts. Our oldest tends to stick with horses. I think my favs are your alien's pet and your blinky monster.
