Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Sorry for the delay. Crazy schedule, tight deadlines, etc. You know the drill. This painting is only 40% done. I'll post the finished painting later. And for those who are curious, it's painted with Windsor & Newton Gouache on 140 lb. cold-pressed Watercolor paper.

Long story short, I drew about 10-12 composition sketches, and in that process I got playful with the characters and drew Goldilocks as a very tall Ninja. I then decided to make the Bear family all Samuri (the Nina's rivals). The rest is history.

My first impression is -Man that's good!... There aren't often times that a good story line takes such a great twist. Wonderful imagination.

Awesome pandas! It makes me want to break out the ol' watercolors. I love the concept too. It's an epic in the making.

Thanks Seth. I'd like to see some of your traditional work. I'll bet it's amazing-- if your digital work is any indication. And since you mentioned it, I'm considering a Top Secret project that's based on this illustration. More to come.

Many thanks Adrian! I never thought I'd learn to enjoy using Guache, but since I've watered it down like watercolor I like it quit a bit. Maybe I'll learn to use the real thing.
