Wee Beastie
For the past few months I've been engaged in writing a juvenile fantasy fiction novel. I came to a pivotal chapter where the characters unwittingly draw the attention of a local predator. When I went to describe the creature I had only a rudimentary idea what it looked like and decided (as I'd done before) that I needed to do some sketching to help me visualize it. After a few dead ends this is what I came up. I imagine from nose to tail he's about 8 to 9 feet long. (The original nearly fills an 8" x 11" sheet of paper).

Captain America Costume - Highly Anticipated First Look
Not sure how the rest of you feel about Chris Evans (aka Human Torch of Fantastic Four fame) playing the highly anticipated role of Captain America, but I'm hoping that it will be good. I like Chris, and Cap is pretty amazing, so I anticipate that the movie will terrific.
And what think you of the costume? I figured they weren't going to stick to the scales on his suit, but I still think it would work. I can't tell if they kept the skull wings, or if they're just going to elude to them, but if they don't they'll be missed. Not loving the shoulder pads, but overall it's fairly true to the original design, so I'm good with it.
And for those who enjoy Iron Man Spoofs and children, you ought to enjoy this:

Stickmen continued... and an announcement
I'd like to take a moment and apologize for the Minotaur post. I admit that I got caught up in the details and lost sight of the overall design. I'll do better in the future. Many thanks for the kind words in spite of the poor design. Hopefully this round of sketches is a bit more digestible.
In other news, I'm excited to inform that I'm working on a fantasy novel (pre-teen/teen audience). I'm pouring on the coals, and have a solid plot-line and characters down on paper. I'm projecting a trilogy, but nothing's written in stone. I'll keep you posted.
Additionally, a good friend of mine wrote a short story and posted it on Smories. It's read by an adorable little British girl.

Minotaur
Over at Toon Club, the topic was "Mythical". One of my favorite mythical creatures (for some reason) is the Minotaur.
I'd like to think that I'm going to splash some color on it, but since that may or may not happen, I'll post it now.

Action Stickmen® Revisited
Those of you who have been long time visitors (thanks Mom) will recognize my brand of stickman. I call them Action Stickmen ® (yes, they're Registered, 2007). This character is simply called 'E'. Her powers are highly classified.
